Inversion
What’s Up Is Down, and What’s Down Is Up
A Study in Mirrored Worlds
Inversion started with a simple idea: take something we see every day and flip our perspective. These drone images of cityscapes are mirrored from top to bottom, almost like an Inception-style world. A place where there’s no clear sky, no clear ground, and no real sense of up or down.
I wanted these photos to feel futuristic, almost otherworldly, but still familiar enough that you recognize the streets, buildings, and skylines we walk past every day. By inverting the frame, the city becomes something new. A world that floats, folds, and bends on itself.
The result is a series of images that don’t have a top or a bottom. They exist in their own space, in their own balance, challenging the viewer to rethink what a city can look like when you break the rules of gravity and perspective.
